To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded … Ralph Waldo Emerson

For those with breathing or airway problems such as COPD, Asthma, or Cystic Fibrosis, respiratory therapy is vital to enjoying a better quality of life. Therefore, we share in giving our appreciation to those who work hard in behalf of others in the respiratory care field.

According to webmd.com, respiratory therapists work in emergency rooms, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, and nursing homes. Working with a patient, they might monitor vital signs while a patient is on a ventilator, take blood to monitor oxygen levels and other results, and test how well a person’s lungs are working. Therapists can also work with patients on an outpatient basis.¹

With an extensive line of aspirators, oximeters, and nebulizers, Graham-Field is happy to offer items to those with breathing challenges to enhance their quality of life.

So as we join in celebrating Respiratory Care Week, we say thank you to all of the therapists and others in the respiratory field who help others breathe easier.
