Increasingly sophisticated technology in developing nations, combined with low air fare, makes international travel for medical attention not only possible but an attractive option.

One of the biggest factors patients consider is potential cost savings on medical procedures. According to the Medical Tourism Association, the cost savings of Medical Tourism can be up to 90%. Other factors include the history of healthcare innovation within the country, state-of-the-art technology, and international accreditation and quality assurance. The key advantage of Medical Tourism is that the care received abroad is the same or better than the person could receive in their home country.
