March Is Save Your Vision Month — How Hausted® Helps

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailFacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmail

During March, many respected authorities such as the AOA (American Optometric Association) and CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) take the time to remind Americans of the importance of eye health and comprehensive eye examinations. As Americans learn how vital their vision is, it is important that the doctors and facilities they turn to provide the best care possible.

Graham-Field, through its Hausted Patient Handling line, understands the importance of providing well-designed patient transport and positioning products to its customers so that they, in turn, can provide the best quality of care for their patients.

Graham-Field, whose Hausted brand represents more than 60 years’ expertise and innovation in the manufacturing of patient handling systems, has never stopped listening to clinicians and patients alike in order to offer the most comprehensive and comfortable eye stretchers and procedure chairs on the market.

Hausted’s Eye Surgery Offering is used for but not limited to Cataract Extraction, Facial Plastic Surgery, Lasik, and PRK.

as well as Eye Stretchers, both powered and hydraulic, shown above, available with a standard patient surface width or a wide patient surface width (30”) platform.

Articulating Headrest, above left and right, with Wrist Rest, above right

The most recognizable solution on all Hausted Eye Units is the patented articulating headpiece with the low-profile design — it offers unparalleled site access for the surgeon as well as comfort for the patient. The dual operating knobs allow infinite adjustability and precise microscopic movement of the head section. The low-profile design allows site access for both superior (over brow) and lateral (side approach) procedures.

The ability to employ a single piece of equipment to perform each stage of patient treatment eliminates unnecessary patient transfers, non-standardized equipment, and greatly enhances process standardization.

Hausted Eye Chairs and Stretchers can be found in the following departments:

  • Inpatient
  • Ambulatory / Outpatient
  • Oral and Maxiofacial
  • ENT
  • Ophthalmology
  • Plastics
  • ENT
  • PACU
  • Eye Surgery Centers

Also just introduced is the Hausted Surgical Stool – built for performance and surgeon comfort. Ideal for Eye, ENT and Plastic procedures, the HSS500 Series offers three seat configurations with an adjustable contoured backrest and 360 degree rotating armrests to meet the surgeon’s positioning requirements. The three-spindle base and four 3-inch dual Tente® casters allow greater mobility and stability with the fourth caster at the back end of the base to aid in tipping prevention.

Graham-Field strives continually to improve the design and  production of its Hausted surgical chairs and transport stretchers.
